Coffee Cocktails

Because Four Loko is for kids…

 

Irish Coffee

4 ounces hot freshly brewed coffee

1 1/2 ounces Knockmore Irish Whiskey (2oz… go big)

3/4 ounce amaro

1 teaspoon simple syrup

4 dashes Coffee Bitters (optional but not)

Whipped cream, ground nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice

2 coffee beans (because we fancy)

Steps 1 - Z

Stir coffee, whiskey, liqueur, simple syrup, and bitters in a glass to combine. Top with whipped cream, nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice and garnish with coffee beans. Serve to your girlfriend.

Alternately: Leave off the whipped cream, ground nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, coffee beans... Enjoy.

4oz. strong cold-brew coffee

4oz. contratto

3oz. amaro

3oz. scotch whisky

1 tablespoon demerara simple syrup

orange twists (FOR THE GRAM!!!)

Step 1

Combine coffee, fernet, amaro, Scotch, and demerara simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is frosty, about 30 seconds. Serve in multiple glasses…. because it makes more than 1!

Demerara Simple Syrup…

Combine sugar and 1 Tbsp. hot water in a jar, cover, and shake until sugar is dissolved. Chill until cold.


Siciliano

2oz. sweet vermouth

1½oz. amaro

1½oz. strong cold-brew coffee

1oz. simple syrup

Club soda

Orange wheel (once again… FOR THE GRAM!!!)

Too Easy

Mix vermouth, amaro, coffee, and simple syrup in a tumbler. Add ice to fill and top off with club soda. Garnish with orange wheel.


Arsenal Special

1 Shot of espresso

1 shot of whiskey

Step 1: Shoot espresso

Step2: Shoot whiskey (unless good whiskey… then sip)

White Russian

1 1/2 oz. vodka
3/4 oz. Kahlúa
3/4 oz. heavy cream

Add vodka and Kahlúa to a rocks glass over ice, top with heavy cream, then stir. Or shake.. same same.

The Dude abides

Black Russian

2 oz. vodka
1 oz. coffee liqueur

Just mix: Stir ingredients with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass over fresh ice.
