What you are going to need…

  • Coffee (bit darker is nice)

  • Water

  • Kettle

  • Stirring utensil

  • Timer

  • Grinder

  • Scale (recommended)

Quick Coffee/Water Ratios: Obviously you can tweak to your liking.

10oz Cup - 18 grams of coffee / 283grams of 205 degree (nearly boiling) water.

20oz Cup - 35 grams of coffee / 567 grams of 205 degree (nearly boiling) water.

30oz Big Gulp - 53 grams / 850 grams of 205 degree (nearly boiling) water.

Quick and easy french press process.

    1. While you grind your beans, preheat your French press with hot water (205 degree). Then pour that stuff out.

    2. Pour your grounds in bottom of your press and gently shake to level the grounds.

    3. Pour enough water to completely soak your grounds. This allows the blooming process to start. Then you can start your timer.

    4. Let sit for 30 seconds and then using a stirring utensil, stir and break up the crust that has formed.

    5. Pour the rest of your water and put on the lid. (NO PLUNGING YET)

    6. After 4 minutes, slowly press the plunger down and immediately serve. Enjoy.

    • Allowing the coffee to sit in the grounds will turn your coffee bitter so its best to serve it all at once.
